2023-24 Topps Mercury Victor Wembanyama Basketball celebrates the NBA's reigning Rookie of the Year with a premium product. This marks the debut of the Topps Mercury brand.
Per Topps, "An out-of-this-world specimen streaking through the sky, gathering global acclaim in the process… 2023-24 Topps Mercury: Victor Wembanyama has officially landed!"
The boxes contain only encased cards with each of the eight cards issued in its own individual foil pack. Every box has one on-card autograph and one on-card autograph relic of Wembanyama, with a third autograph possible.
Box sales begin on October 9 at noon (Eastern) via EQL raffle. The price is $8,000 per box.
These high-end cards do not display official NBA or team logos.
2023-24 Topps Mercury Victor Wembanyama Base & Insert Details
Starting off with the base, the 2023-24 Topps Mercury Victor Wembanyama Basketball checklist includes a 20-card Base Chromium set for Wemby.
Boxes yield two base cards and three parallels (/99 or less).
There are also short prints for the full set, including French Language SP and Specimen SSP cards.
Falling once per box, inserts come with 10 different themes. These are all numbered to 99 copies or less. Noted as a bonus, the rarest parallels—Black Refractor (/10), Red Refractor (/5) and SuperFractor (1/1)—are signed.

That's just the start of the 2023-24 Topps Mercury Victor Wembanyama Basketball autographs.
Each box supplies one Chromium Autograph Refractor numbered to 99 copies or less, and some even add an inscription.
In addition, there is one Autograph Relic card per box that boasts game-worn gear with the memorabilia's details noted on the back of the card. Topps specifically mentioned the jersey from his debut game and when he scored his 1,000th NBA point.
Acting as a bonus hit, the Chromium Dual Autographs line pairs Wemby with other greats, such as LeBron James and Shaquille O'Neal. Wembanyama is also found alongside quarterback C.J. Stroud, another young star playing in Texas. These average 1:70 packs and replace one of the base cards, meaning that boxes with duals have three autographs.
