The annual start of Topps's flagship brand, 2025 Topps Series 1 Baseball helps establish the main design that is prevalent across the 2025 season.
The expected release on February 12 coincides with the voluntary reporting date for many MLB teams.
On January 13 at noon (Eastern), the Topps.com presale features Hobby boxes ($89.99), Jumbo Boxes ($179.99) and Mega boxes ($49.99).
2025 Topps Series 1 Baseball Box Cover
The earliest announcement for 2025 Topps Series 1 Baseball came on January 6, 2025, to confirm the cover star on the box. Aaron Judge takes the bow this year, celebrating his 2024 AL MVP season.
2025 Topps Series 1 Baseball Design
Finally, on January 9, the 2025 Topps Series 1 Baseball design was released by Topps. Pitching phenom Paul Skeenes was honored as the first official reveal of the '25 flagship card style. Skeenes' base card has the added Rookie Cup logo.
Similar to 2024, the player's name occupies the bottom section. Mixing up the look, the team name is moved from the top, giving more focus to the multi-colored frame that dominates the left side. Some collectors might see shades of the 1982 Topps Baseball design.
Topps also teased the base Future Stars design with a photo of speedster Elly De La Cruz in mid-slide.
